11/21/08 Weekend Movie Releases
Quantum of Solace made off with a hefty haul on 7-14-08. The double-o seven franchise is back with Daniel Craig being called the ‘best 007 since Sean Connery’. Other top movies this past weekend are Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa and Role Models.
This week, two movies for the younger generation are coming to theaters in wide distribution. Most likely Quantum of Solace will remain the film to see.
Theater Releases
Bolt (Animation)
- A dog who thinks he has super powers roams the street seeking help to find his way home. Hannah Montana Destiny Hope Cyrus Miley Cyrus and Scientology poster boy John Travolta star in this children’s film.
Twilight (Romance)
- Some teeny-bopper movie about vampires which are like no other. A girl falls in love with a vampire and he tries not to eat her. How that works out, well, no clue. Vampires get their ‘romance’ from sucking blood, not through sticking their carrots in young women. Oh well, it will make its money because people are funny.
