1/24/12 Updates

Alright, so if you haven’t noticed yet, there have been some more changes to the members site and PoemofQuotes in general.

Members
Firstly, I did what a lot of people probably wanted and made the profanity filter optional. Yeah, it goes against basically what I originally stated, but I know it made a lot of people upset, so I thought I’d change that.

Secondly, I made it so members can delete their own comments. I was thinking whether or not I should do it, because people can say some pretty mean things and then simply delete it, but oh well. Pretty much every site lets members do it, so I figured I would too.

Thirdly, the ads are working again. Actually, I only had them turned off on accident. I saw it and turned it back on. We’ll see over the next few days if they’ll stay or go.

Main site
Sidebar now has the faces with the like button for Facebook.

Switched up the order of the buttons and sidebar links.

Changed funny quotes page to look less cluttered.

Took off some h2 tages from funny quotes page.

Changed many pages: Poetry Definition, Poetry Dictionary, Haiku, Famous Haiku Poetry, all the haiku poets.

I’m actually quite positive there are some other pages I changed, but I can’t remember which.

Ok, also…

Changed the CSS and some HTML but that’s not too important for you guys to know about. However, the layout is slightly changed. It’s now a fixed width.

Deleted the shop.

Moved religious texts link to the quotes page.

Deleted the advertising page.

Slightly changed the PoemofQuotes homepage.

Took off the little icons/links from the upper right.

Can’t remember the rest of the changes, but I hope you enjoy them all. I’ll be doing more.
