Alright, so I have no idea what movie came out the winner last weekend because I haven’t been home. Yes, that is right. I wrote this in the past! Muahahaha! Anyway, there are just two wide (well, really wide) films coming out this weekend. One is a comedy, the other is a repeat of a repeat of a repeat. Or, something like that. There has been a lot of them anyway! But, guess who it is? Vin Diesel!
I finally got around to watching Lakeview Terrace (alright, so the DVD came in the mail from BlockBuster). I have to say, the film leaves a few holes and wasn’t quite what I expected. Nonetheless, it stars Samuel L. Jackson. Samuel L. Jackson! So it can’t be all bad, right? Right!
Surprise, surprise. Knowing was the number one film out last weekend. Woopidoo da. Really, I like Nicholas Cage, I just wish he would have more variety. I liked “The Weatherman”. I liked the “Wickerman” (although, lots of people didn’t). But of course, the “National Treasure” movies were extremely popular, so he had to remake and call it Knowing. Alright, so it isn’t the same. But it is! It is he same character, at least.
If you haven’t heard of Let the Right One In you are definitely out of the loop. This film came out around the same time Twilight did, but it received much better critical acclaim and ended up winning a BAFTA for best foreign film (it wasn’t eligible for an Oscar since it came out a month after the final allowed date for foreign films).
This weeks’ movies hope to make a huge flash and push the Watchmen out of the top 3 and remove Race to Witch Mountain from the number one spot. Will they do it? Hm… Yes! I am making a bold prediction that I Love You, Man will take in the most cash this weekend.

Ah, the Watchmen. What a weekend. Although considered a ‘failure’ because it didn’t raise as much money during opening weekend as expected, it was still a huge hit (if that actually makes sense). This weekend a couple remakes come up to bat.

Last weekend I decided not to do the weekend movies as the only films worthy of mention weren’t needing quotes. The first is obvious, The Jonas Brothers Concert. Yeah, it is a movie for some reason and has done fairly well. The other film I decided to do this week, so keep your hat on!
