This week three movies are opening wide, although just two in major distribution. There is one film which is likely to open huge, Wolverine, and the other is likely to be a hit amongst young females, Ghosts of Girlfriends Pasts.

Last weekend, 17 Again made a nice splash. For whatever reason, girls just love Zac Efron. Oh well, there isn’t anything I can do about it. Teenybopper films have been doing well this past year, so I imagine it will continue. This weeks movies aren’t much more promising, but still the best weekend openings for a while.
This past weekend Hannah Montana: The Movie broke the Easter weekend record with taking in $34 million. Ah, humanity. Where have we come to? Hannah Montana…. seriously? Yep, this article is a little late, but oh well, right? There’s three movies new out this weekend with two that will bring in the crowds. Last weekend, Fast and Furious was able to come out on top and hopes to hold off at least one of the other films.

On my list of best classical romance movies for V-day is a popular, although relatively unknown to younger viewers, film featuring two classic stars, Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn. The film is actually Hepburn’s first Hollywood movie–who actually had a poor audition but got the part due in to her unique looks. However, Peck is a well established mid-30s Hollywood star who was already featured in other classics such as Twelve o’Clock High.
