2/06/09 Weekend Movie Releases
Shockingly Paul Blart wasn’t number 1 this weekend, Taken was. The Uninvited debuted as the number 3 movie with New in Town coming in eighth.
For the first weekend of February we have four new major releases with a couple of them looking to be pretty decent.
Coraline (animation)
Directed by the guy who did Nightmare Before Christmas (no, not Burton. They just worked together on the film). This animated feature is about a young girl who finds a new dimension similar to our own but different.
The Pink Panther 2 (comedy)
I absolutely love Steve Martin. He is one of my top ten comedians of all time. This film also stars John Cleese, one of the famous Monty Python fellows. Steve Martin teams up with a group of international detectives to solve a global crime spree.
Push (sci-fi thriller)
A group of Americans band together to escape a U.S. agency who wishes to exploit their telekinetic abilities. I wish I could say more about this film, but the amount of trailers and reviews available are short in number. Somehow though, I imagine this film debuting better than what I expect.
He’s Just Not That Into You (romantic comedy)
A girl wants a man to call her. He doesn’t. She’s upset. Comedy occurs. Other chick-flick stuff happens. Happy ending. Or is it?
