3/20/09 Weekend Movie Releases
This weeks’ movies hope to make a huge flash and push the Watchmen out of the top 3 and remove Race to Witch Mountain from the number one spot. Will they do it? Hm… Yes! I am making a bold prediction that I Love You, Man will take in the most cash this weekend.
Duplicity
A man and woman work together on opposite sides for counter-intelligence of a major corporation. Julie Roberts and Clive Owen star in this dramatic-romance-semi-action. I’m not that big of a fan of Julia Roberts, but I know many people are. This looks like a classic Roberts, so check it out if you are.
I Love You, Man
Paul Rudd stars in this film about a couple looking to get married, but Rudd’s character doesn’t have a man-friend to be his best-man. He attempts to go on man-dates in an attempt to look for ‘the one.’ The humor is pretty much like Rudd’s other films, so if you are looking for a laugh you might want to check this one out.
Knowing
Nicholas Cage stars in this film about a teacher who finds a set of numbers in a time-capsule that tell the future. Alright, so he doesn’t find them. Some students do and he is pushy enough to take them. No matter what, this film looks like a cross between National Treasure and a suspense film. I think I’ll wait until it’s out on DVD to catch this one.
