3/27/09 Weekend Movie Releases

Surprise, surprise. Knowing was the number one film out last weekend. Woopidoo da. Really, I like Nicholas Cage, I just wish he would have more variety. I liked “The Weatherman”. I liked the “Wickerman” (although, lots of people didn’t). But of course, the “National Treasure” movies were extremely popular, so he had to remake and call it Knowing. Alright, so it isn’t the same. But it is! It is he same character, at least.

Monsters vs Aliens
A meteor crashes to earth and turns a little girl into a giant monster. So some government agency comes along and kidnaps her and puts her with other monsters. They then work together to escape and take over the world! Muhahahaha. No, not really. They save the world from destruction.

The Haunting of Connecticut
Looks like the same American scary movies that have been made for the past 10 years. Barf. I know people enjoy watching the same movie, over and over and over and over again, but when you give it a different name it loses something. I wonder if this movie has the crab walk in it? Or maybe it has tons of gore? No? Oh, maybe it will have a poltergeist! Hm… maybe it will have a creepy child that sees ghosts?

A WWE wrestler! The trailers for this film can’t seem to figure out if it is a suspense or a drama or just another cop movie. Who knows? It has received some pretty bad reviews so far from those who have seen early viewings.

So which movie will I watch out of these three? None. Yes, that is right. Absolutely zero.
