5/15/09 Weekend Movie Releases
Last weekend, Star Trek rode the trekkie train all the way to the bank. This week, though, they will have to face up against another soon-to-be blockbuster hit in Angels & Demons.

This film follows Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks) as he attempts to save the Church from a terrorist attack by the Illuminati, a group of rich men across Earth who rule virtually everything.
What’s funny about this film, is that the Catholic Church banned filming from the Vatican, yet the director sent in enough “tourists” to take pictures and small videos to make it work. Also what I don’t understand, is why this film is banned in the first place. Sure, it does say many controversial things about the Church (well, the book does anyway), yet the main character is protecting the Catholic Church and not going against it.
Sorry, that just seems a bit weird.
