There’s been a lot of problems lately within the comments section of Poem of Quotes. Now, instead of fighting, you can delete the comments you don’t like. If you want to fight, go ahead! But please don’t ask me to delete the comments once they get out of hand (and they will). Also, a new [...]
I changed the Editor’s Picks section to be more dynamic. Now, after every page you visit, it will have a new list of “picks” for you to check out. I deleted the “Most Viewed” section for various reasons. I’ll see over the next week or so whether or not it will be added back. I [...]
I’ve changed the homepage once again to hopefully better acknowledge some of the top content on the website. There is a new homepage design which comes with images, borders, and better descriptions of what the pages are about.
You might remember a little problem which occurred at the end of March. The site wasn’t working correctly–wasn’t loading right–and some even experienced a redirect to a different website or a Google warning. This was all due to the latest hack. The .htaccess file was compromised. This hasn’t happened before. The other times this website [...]
I haven’t been posting here, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been busy updating various areas of PoemofQuotes. There has been a recent update on Google, thus various pages on PoemofQuotes have been hit with lower rankings. It has since been fixed. The attack started on Christmas Day, I’m guessing sometime in the evening. I had it fixed by Dec 26 [...]
This has been complained about quite a bit lately but was only able to get it fixed today… mostly. The profile images have been messed up; the server was only grabbing the images from the cache and not asking Flickr for the photos. I went back through the code to figure out the problem, so [...]
I’ve been rolling out several features behind the scenes that many of you most likely haven’t noticed just yet. But here they are: Voting has it’s own table. User networks have their own table. This has caused a TON of changes behind the scenes with the code. I’ve had to change the profile pages almost [...]
I’ve been a bit lazy updating this blog on what has been going on over at PoemofQuotes. The good thing is, I haven’t been all that lazy. I’ve simply decided you guys would appreciate what’s going on over there more than simple updates here. Here’s what’s been going on the past few weeks: Tons of [...]
The World Cup starts in just a few days. If the US can take 1st in the opening groups, I really think they can get to the quarters… call me crazy, but just look at the teams they would have to play and tell me it isn’t at least possible. Anyway, I created a World [...]
