How to say I love you in a poem

Saying “I love you” in a poem might sound like one of the hardest things to do; however, that’s not entirely true if you even bother to try.

Firstly, simply saying “I love you” is a great place to start, especially if you are an amateur writer.

Secondly, comparing love to something is possible.

Thirdly, say how you feel and leave nothing out.

Fourthly, use every sense. A quality poem leaves no sense untouched.

Fifthly, don’t worry about it. Write from your heart. No matter how well the poem actually is doesn’t matter. Actually saying “I love you” and going through the effort is more than enough to make your significant other swoon.

Remember, use the emotions to your advantage, use the senses to every extent you can imagine, and don’t stress about it.
