Shockingly Paul Blart wasn’t number 1 this weekend, Taken was. The Uninvited debuted as the number 3 movie with New in Town coming in eighth.
For the first weekend of February we have four new major releases with a couple of them looking to be pretty decent.
Coraline (animation)
Directed by the guy who did Nightmare Before [...]
Once again Paul Bart: Mall Cop reached number one. I’m not sure what it is about the movie that people like, but honestly, I think the trailers are horrible. A movie about a bumbling mall cop? Seriously? And people actually watch this without being forced to? Ugh. I bet the producers are just as surprised [...]
Last week was a huge disappointment to the advancement of mankind. Mall Cop was the number 1 movie as of the January 16th weekend. It made close to $40 million. During what may very well be considered a depression in the coming years. $40 million! Holy jesus freak…
This week two movies open up in wide [...]
The January 16th openings don’t look too good, at least from the outside looking in. This is officially the worst weekend of the year! Alright, so it is only a few weeks old, but still…
Hotel for Dogs (Family)
I’ve heard good things. I’ve heard, “Hey, it’s a great family film!” and “It’s the best family film [...]
After a couple weekends of no new films comes a weekend of three goodies.
Gran Torino
Some say this is Clint Eastwood’s best film ever. I haven’t had a chance to see it yet, but it is definitely one I plan to see soon. The film has done absolutely amazing over its limited release and will most [...]
I love Christmas time, but it just isn’t Christmas without eggnog, a tree, family, and Xmas movies. With Thanksgiving come and gone and Christmas day finally here, there is no better time to watch a Christmas film (who wants to watch an Xmas film after the fact?). Lets run down the top 10 Christmas films [...]
Last week was a dud. Yes Man came through with the weekend lead, but it didn’t make nearly as much as one would imagine. This week stars movies for everyone.
Bedtime Stories
Adam Sandler babysits his niece and nephew. After telling a bedtime story, the story comes true.
Bedtime Stories
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Brad Pitt stars as [...]
Well it looks like The Day the Earth Stood Still captured the largest gross for last week. Keanu Reeves once again has a successful film. Yay, or nay. Not sure which side to be on. I’ve heard stories about him that go both ways.
Four Christmases once again rang top king this past weekend. Great news! Alright, well not too great. It is just another big budget film trying to eat at the pockets of film goers. I guess if you want a few laughs, it is fine. But if you are looking for a movie to laugh at [...]
Four Christmases is doing surprisingly well. Honestly, I thought it would have just flopped. People are always in the Christmas mood around Thanksgiving, so that could be part of it. I admit that I wish to see it, but probably not in theaters.
This week includes several movies which were moved up. Just a couple weeks [...]
