On my list of best classical romance movies for V-day is a popular, although relatively unknown to younger viewers, film featuring two classic stars, Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn. The film is actually Hepburn’s first Hollywood movie–who actually had a poor audition but got the part due in to her unique looks. However, Peck is a well established mid-30s Hollywood star who was already featured in other classics such as Twelve o’Clock High.
I finally got around to watching Lakeview Terrace (alright, so the DVD came in the mail from BlockBuster). I have to say, the film leaves a few holes and wasn’t quite what I expected. Nonetheless, it stars Samuel L. Jackson. Samuel L. Jackson! So it can’t be all bad, right? Right!
If you haven’t heard of Let the Right One In you are definitely out of the loop. This film came out around the same time Twilight did, but it received much better critical acclaim and ended up winning a BAFTA for best foreign film (it wasn’t eligible for an Oscar since it came out a month after the final allowed date for foreign films).
Last night I watched the film Annapolis, a film which I have heard mixed reviews about. Honestly, it wasn’t anything that I was expecting. The trailer actually shows a battleship exploding and people jumping into a pool. Yeah, neither happens. So what does happen? Well, let’s go over the basics first.

At first, I was hesitant to watch The Transporter. It isn’t quite a cult film, but it is close to it. There are several acquaintances who absolutely love the film. But to be honest, I never heard of it until the recent release of Transporter 3. If you haven’t seen the film, it is basically [...]
Now that most students are back in school it is time to watch movies! Yes, movies about school. Why? Who knows. But what I do know is there are tons of great movies out there to please everyone. So lets get started, shall we? 10. 16 Candles A fifteen-year-old high schooler (Molly Ringwald) has a [...]
Hello again. Ramblings have once again struck for me so here they are to share again. Are you ready? Remakes, it’s sad but the majority of what we know from television, stories, and especially movies are just a repeated version of someone else’s idea from whenever ago. There isn’t a lot of originality left anymore, [...]
Planet of the Apes is seen as one of the greatest films of all time. The original film stars Charlton Heston, Roddy McDowall, Kim Hunter, and Maurice Evans. The film was ground-breaking for its make-up techniques by artist John Chambers. The film turned into a series, including four sequals and a short lived television show, [...]
As we all know, the pointy eared nightshift hero has made a comeback. His cape of justice and alluring fitted black tights are all here to save the day once again from the handful of remade and renewed mentally confused villains. The Dark Knight being the top rated movie of the summer (if not the year) one can only anticipate what the plans are for the [...]
We’ve all seen movies we just thought, wow, that was badass. Then after thinking about the movie for a while realize that it was really just a piece of crap or that it was so good we’ll never watch it again. Well, here are my top ten movies that I thought were completely badass, but [...]
