Top 10 Favorite Dr. Seuss Books
Dr. Seuss is famous for providing appealing books that are both educational and entertaining. All of Dr. Seuss’s works are great for beginning readers and read-alouds and are preferred by more parents than any other children’s author.
Dr. Seuss’s rhymes and quirky characters make his books memorable and appealing to children of all ages. Children who are exposed to books with rhymes and alliterations (like Dr. Seuss’s) learn how to read faster and spell better than those who aren’t.

You’ve certainly listed many of my favorites. My son’s favorites are “Ten Apples on Top”, “Ooblik” and “Hop on Pop.”

Ah, “Ten Apples on Top”, that is another good one. “Hop on Pop” is alright, but I don’t think it lives up to the others listed.

Here’s why getting older is miserable, indeed. When I was a kid, one of my favorites was “Yertle the Turtle.” Read that one quite a bit as a kid.
To this day, I thought it was “Myrtle the Turtle.” Had to look it up, in fact, to see if it was my memory or yours that was faulty.
Turns out it’s mine.
Getting older sucks — mind plays tricks on you, see?

You have a great favorites list. What about “The Sneetches”? That has the “other stories”, one about scary tweed green pants with nobody inside them. They used to scare the junk out of me as a kid!
