Top 10 Horror Films for Halloween
Ever since Scary Movie became popular the horror film genre has changed from movies about teenagers being chased down and murdered to a genre featuring brutal, morbid killings shown on camera. Gore has since been at the top of many ‘horror’ film goers lists.
However, it just isn’t Halloween without good ol’ slasher flicks. So here we are, the top 10 horror films for Halloween:
- I Know What You Did Last Summer
- Child’s Play
- Leprechaun
- Friday the 13th
- Halloween II
- Candyman

- Scream

- A Nightmare on Elm Street

- Halloween

- Psycho

Decent list. Quite a few flaws though. Here is mine.
10. Black Christmas (original)
9. Scream
8. Child’s Play
7. The Last House on the Left
6. Candyman
5. Friday the 13th
4. Suspiria
3. A Nightmare On Elm Street
2. Halloween
1. Psycho
I think this is a better list. Take out the crappy Scream knock off “I Know What…” the lame “Leprechaun” and the inferior sequel to the greatest slasher of all time and then you can start a good list. Throw in some masterful Argento, “Suspiria” some old school Wes Craven, “The Last House…” and the slasher that started it all, “Black Christmas” and now we have a Halloween party. Not great but good. In my humble opinion of course.
YummY!
