Weekend Movie Releases 10/24/08
Max Payne has been receiving some horrible reviews. However, it looks like it will still pop out on top once the weekend is over. W. has been doing well so far, which doesn’t surprise me. We as people are getting way too into ‘now’ and sequels it just isn’t funny anymore. Seriously, we have been hearing George Bush’s tail for going on 8 years now and we heard it when his daddy was president. There is nothing more to tell.
Anyway, enough about that. Here’s the movies coming out this week.
High School Musical 3: Senior Year (Musical)
The gang is back at it again, those silly rascals. The seniors, thinking about the future, create a musical about their fears and hopes for the future. All I got to say is, I hope this is the last one. Of course, they’ll probably make a new one called “High School Musical: The College Years”.
Pride & Glory (Crime Drama)
A cop movie about police corruption involving brother-in-laws. The investigation may threaten the entire NYPD. Ed Norton and Colin Farrell star. Will this be a good movie? Who knows. Frankly, I may just be getting tired of Ed Norton playing the same character over and over. Fight Club and The Hulk were good, but he really needs to get more facial expressions than having one eye shut and his head tilted.
Saw V (Horror)
Hoffman tries to hunt down the newest person to carry out Jigsaw’s legacy. The trailer sucks, the director is different, and the gadgets look weird. There is a Saw VI in planning already, so don’t get your hopes up on finding out anything new. Of course, this film will more than likely focus on the gore like the other Saw films, so if you are into that…. go seek theoropy.
The Nightmare Before Christmas 3D (Animation)
Another year, another year of showing one of Tim Burton’s famous film. If you haven’t seen this in 3D yet, you are missing out. Of course, I haven’t seen it in 3D either, but… there is always this year! (Or next.)
